Of course, it's the one magazine that they don't sell around here anywhere
This is the letter, by the way:
When Bobby Ginn came to the team, I thought it was the best thing that could possibly happen. Bobby seemed like a great guy who loved NASCAR, and who actually cared about the drivers. I think all of Sterling's fans were more than happy to embrace him as part of the team. He brought hope that Ginn Racing would be competitive, and that Sterling would get a grand sendoff. But now Bobby has shown his true colors, kicking Sterling out of a car with a number that he personally requested to honor his father. Bobby Ginn obviously doesn't take his promises, or contracts, seriously. He can try to cover it up as much as he wants, making excuses for replacing Sterling, but the facts speak for themselves. Sterling said that he had a valid contract that said he would finish the 2007 season with Ginn Racing. I don't know exactly what the contract said, of course, but the fact still is that contract wasn't taken seriously. Sterling also said that he talked to Jay Frye at Daytona, and Jay told him that everything was fine. Can you honestly tell me that things can go so downhill in a week that you have to replace Sterling, after telling him everything was all right? Bobby Ginn and the entire Ginn racing organization have no integrity. That's your problem right there. It doesn't matter how old the drivers are if an organization can't keep it's promises. No wonder you can't find any sponsors, they were smart and were able to see right through Bobby Ginn, and see him for what he really is. If you can't keep a promise to a driver in his final full-time year, hoping to finish with class, why should sponsors expect you to keep your promises to them?
Oh, and by the way, I'm a young fan myself and my favorite driver is Sterling Marlin. I think it's a myth that young fans automatically go for the 20-something drivers. You can bet now that Regan Smith is driving that 14 car, I'm never going to support whatever it is that's on his hood. I also find it hard to believe that sponsors like Waste Management and Principal Financial are looking for a younger driver to better fit their demographic.
I'm glad that Sterling no longer has to deal with Ginn Racing. He didn't fit in anyway, he's much to classy for your organization.
